The content and photography are wonderful. The print is so small that you need a magnifying glass and the quality of the printing is very poor. This could have been a stunning book. Would love to see it done over with high quality printing and more reasonable print size, even if it cost more.

I own every issue of Kinfolk and both books, I'm also from Portland, OR so this is a local brand for me.
This book has beautiful photography, as always. It mostly features homes that have children. Kinfolk Home is a good coffee table book, or to peek through for quick house inspiration, however I wish it were a little more timeless. A lot of homes pictured are minimalistic, but feature on-trend decor. Overall, great quality, concerned about how long it'll stay in my curated library.

The Kinfolk Home by Nathan Williams is a free NetGalley ebook that I read during a quiet evening in early October. Having been offered a few collaborative picture books about cityscapes, I looked forward to looking through one that has to do with interiors.
The rooms and angles photographed in this book make the rooms pictured in IKEA catalogs look crowded. Beautiful though they are and an excellent way to pare down your belongings to the most critical, classic pieces, I can't help but think that the owners of these homes pay for both their mortgage and monthly rent for a very large storage locker.
